Music, Man, and a Message
Chris Telfer MATTOO

Soulful. Heartfelt. Selfless. I am a huge fan of Chris Telfer, who has been a friend since we met in Peru years ago. He’s a musician whose music has so much impact and heart in it, you can can’t just sit and listen without being affected.

What a Studd
CT Studd - Missionary, Stud

An Etcetera Evangelist is one called of God to go forth to evangelise in some part of the unevangelized world at all costs and risks. He counts not his life as of any account dear unto himself.

The 42nd Generation (part 2)
G42 - discipleship training spain

In my last post, I talked about the 42nd Generation: a generation who acknowledges their identity and accepts their inheritance as children of God. But then what? Our goal at G42 is to inspire and challenge members of the 42nd Generation–no matter where they are in life, status, age, class, or the world–to live like they are God’s representative on [...]

The 42nd Generation (part 1)
Overlook Grand Canyon

In the past, I’ve mentioned our non-profit, “G42″ and you may have noticed “The 42nd Generation” as one of my blog categories… but I’m not sure if I’ve described what I mean by this phrase. The concept of the 42nd Generation is initially taken from Matthew chapter 1, the genealogy of Jesus Christ. If you’re like me, you’ve probably skimmed [...]

A Busy Fall
Mijas Spain at Dusk - the view from our terrace

As many of you know, my plate has been full with my duties at our non-profit, G42. It’s an exciting time of growth, but with growth comes responsibility and hard work. So I am looking forward to these next three months with excitement (and then I may just take the entire month of January off). We will also be moving [...]

The Cost of Not Going…
backpacking2

I gave a challenge to the men this past week during our weekly G42 “Man-Time.” We often talk about being dangerous men, ready for risk, ready to “Go.” We also hear weekly from men & women who have already gone, and we hear stories of people like Sunitha, an Indian woman who has planted 42 churches in the past 5 years, sleeping on nothing more than a mat on dirt floors, being stoned, yet still going back and bringing the Message of Christ where it has never been before.

So why don’t we go?

So What Happens Here at G42?
Interns at play

Here’s another blog I’d like to highlight from one of our interns.  It gives a great synopsis of what is going on here at the Leadership Academy.  I have to say, we break the mold and any expectations that most people have of this place!  Shanda Dodd is one of our “second termers” here in Mijas and she is doing [...]

In Mijas, Spain, Dreaming of a Better World

Seth Barnes, director of Adventures in Missions, is a gifted writer as well as a strategic thinker. He’s spent the last four days here in Spain, working with me on the 2010 plan for the G42 Leadership Academy, sharing with the interns some of his experience with building ministries, and been an all-around encouragement to us here. Here is what [...]

“The Reality” – G42 Leadership Academy Intern blog

I know, I haven’t blogged in about a million years.  But I was spurred to at least re-post this blog by Nicholas Hindes, an intern at the Leadership Academy that is due to graduate this month.  Nicholas is just one of the interns who have had their life dramatically changed–wrecked–by the amazing and inspirational teaching here.  He originally planned to [...]
