If you know us, this was a big day in the Hearn household.\u00a0 Rebecca had homeschooled the girls in Colorado Springs and Phoenix, but we wanted to do things a little differently here.\u00a0 We wanted to get integrated into the community here, plus Rebecca had reached her maximum capacity juggling Ben and teaching a 5 and a 7 year old.\u00a0 So we enrolled the girls in school in our small village.\u00a0 Here’s the photos we took that chronicled the big event:<\/p>\n

Step 1: The night before, take a nice bath.\u00a0 Then quickly jump into bed, there’s no heating here!<\/p>\n

Brrr... or is it some new Hannah Montana dance?<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Step 2: Dress up really nice.\u00a0 Since this is Europe, be sure to use as many colors as possible.<\/p>\n

Happy now... but how long will it last?<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Step 3:\u00a0 Eat a good breakfast<\/p>\n

That is Zumo de Naranja (OJ), Frosted Flakes, an egg, and some toast. Yummmm...<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Step 4:\u00a0 *CENSORED* due to much crying, screaming, and clinging.<\/p>\n

Step 5: Parents (make that Dad–Mommy would be a mess herself!) slowly back out the door when children are distracted and then make a rapid getaway.\u00a0 Hey, Spanish school is only from 9 to 2 anyway.\u00a0 It’s like a half-day, right?<\/p>\n

Step 6: Meet the kiddos, happy and smiling, at the end of the day.<\/p>\n

Step 7: Take to get some helado, and swap stories about bossy teachers, funny boys, new best friends, and underwear.<\/p>\n
