I have recently (okay, for about the last\u00a03 or 4\u00a0years) been reading, learning, and changing my paradigm concerning the church.\u00a0 I believe I have stumbled into a movement, a new generation of Christianity, that is slowly building steam.\u00a0 <\/p>\n

This movement, this paradigm shift <\/strong>is about searching for Christ and building his kingdom on earth.\u00a0 I’m no longer afraid<\/strong> of the end of the world, I’m no longer tied<\/strong> to a once-a-week church service, and I’m\u00a0no longer willing to<\/strong> be spoon-fed a three point sermon and then do nothing<\/strong> about the world around me.\u00a0<\/p>\n

From Security to Faith<\/h2>\n

My family is about to embark on a HUGE life change–to go from worldly security to supernatural faith.\u00a0 It is tough, but it’s been a tug on my heart that I can’t ignore.\u00a0 We want to live in a community of believers, sharing meals, sharing lives, strengthening others, and sending people out to the ‘ends of the earth’ to establish more community, more kingdom, and more of Christ.\u00a0 <\/p>\n

There are parts of this world crying out for a Savior–crying out for something, someone to feed them, protect them, save them from poverty and futility.\u00a0 We all want to help the unfortunate, and Rebecca and I have been called to get rid of our fears of insecurity, to throw off consumerism, and to finally accept the call on our lives.\u00a0 <\/p>\n

Why?<\/h2>\n

There are orphans living and dying <\/a>in a world of filth, disease, and darkness.\u00a0 There are homeless people <\/a>who are crying out for the light, all they need is for someone to notice them and show them.\u00a0 <\/p>\n

There are millions who fight the battle against darkness every day and lose–and all they need to know is that there is Someone who has already crushed the darkness.<\/p>\n

We are ready.\u00a0<\/h2>\n
