Nsoko is located in the South Eastern part of Swaziland, just outside of Big Bend.

It is a very rural area with most of the people living on traditional homesteads. When Gary Black was sharing about the needs of the children to local businessmen they decided they wanted to help.

The local businessmen have generously given G42 land on which to build ‘The Anchor’. The Anchor is going to be a community center, and children’s village.

At the moment it is just 16 hectors of land, but soon it will have 6 double orphan homes (which will have parents to look after the children), a community hall with a full kitchen and classrooms, admin building, sports fields, fish ponds, gardens, team lodge, a home for a gogo (grandmother, so she can look after the kids and make sure they are still getting some of the culture that is so important to Swazis), a couple of houses for fulltime volunteers, a clinic, a market area for locals to sell their crafts, and a full cafe.

With all of the added facilities the goal is for the center to be able to make much of the money that will be needed to keep it running, so that they don’t have to fully rely on the support of others.

You can make a tax-deductable donation through Adventures in Missions, to The Anchor in Nsoko, Swaziland at https://www.adventures.org/give/donate.asp?giveto=staff&desc=Nsoko%20Project please make sure that in the Staff Member section it reads ‘Nsoko Project’.

I’ll highlight other ministries of G42 soon, or if you’d like to read more, you can check out Gary Black’s blog here. G42’s new website is here.

After the Air Force, I will soon be a part of a great organization called “G42,” short for the 42nd Generation. I’ll explain the concept of the 42nd Generation another time, but I would like to highlight a ministry called “The Anchor” that has begun in Nsoko, Swaziland. This is excerpted from Gary Black’s blog.
