Have you ever heard a musician sing\/play a song in the way you feel?<\/span><\/p>\n

Sir Frances Drake wrote this prayer in 1577. I take such delight in it because he found the words to pray over 400 years ago; words that I’ve been searching for today!.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>\u00a0Disturb us, Lord, when
\nWe are too pleased with ourselves,
\nWhen our dreams have come true
\nBecause we dreamed too little,
\nWhen we arrived safely
\nBecause we sailed too close to the shore.<\/span><\/span>Disturb us, Lord, when
\nwith the abundance of things we possess
\nWe have lost our thirst
\nFor the waters of life;
\nHaving fallen in love with life,
\nWe have ceased to dream of eternity
\nAnd in our efforts to build a new earth,
\nWe have allowed our vision
\nOf the new Heaven to dim.<\/span><\/p>\n

Disturb us, Lord, to dare more boldly,
\nTo venture on wilder seas
\nWhere storms will show Your mastery;
\nWhere losing sight of land,
\nWe shall find the stars.<\/span><\/p>\n

We ask you to push back
\nThe horizons of our hopes;
\nAnd to push back the future
\nIn strength, courage, hope, and love.<\/span><\/p>\n

This we ask in the name of our Captain,
\nWho is Jesus Christ.<\/span><\/p>\n

This is my truth, I am blessed beyond measure! As I continue on my path with Jesus I find myself to be more thankful then I’ve ever been. How is it that I’ve found myself among the people I’m around; the teachers, the friends, the people of so many countries? How is it that I did not see even when I thought that I saw! It hasn’t stopped! The true truth is being revealed more and more everyday; the root of the root, the bud of the bud, the seed of the seed- Jesus.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
