I have recently been reading stories of pioneers moving into the Western United States. These families or adventurers were lured away from their cozy homes, villages, towns, and farms for one reason: the mystery.
They had no idea what they were going into, just rumors and legends. The only thing they knew for certain was that their travels would be dangerous, their new homes sparse, and the work needed would be back-breaking. Many who went lost their lives, their family members, their wealth… but most of them saw with their own eyes that the work they were pioneering was foundational: A foundation for their children and their children’s children that would stand for generations.
We must grab that pioneer spirit.

What are we building for the generations to follow? What mysterious adventure are we setting off on, that one day, will be recounted around the dining table to our grandchildren?
Maybe it’s a marriage or a child. Maybe it’s traveling to an unknown place. Or maybe it’s planting a church, business, or venture into a new location.
Are you willing to step off into a mysterious adventure, not knowing the details other that there will be danger and death along the road?
Please take that step into the mystery. The world is counting on people like you, who knew the risks but took the voyage anyway.
What are you pioneering today? Tell me about it in the comments–I’d love to see if we could help each other.
We are planting a “church” in North East Ohio. Taking a covering, a cue, and some help from the Gathering going on in Gainesville, GA.
Heading towards a launch in late spring we are in the early stages of praying for a core team to come along side Stacy and I.
Spirit Led. Biblical based. Prophetically activated. Multi-Generational. Discipleship focused. Mission Sending (both local and abroad).
Basically we want to take the core culture of the World Race tribe and set it loose in this area. With the hopes of creating a blue print for others to build upon and release in other areas.
Brian, this is great! Exactly what I’m talking about. Let me know if you are lacking any gifts/leaders/team members and I’ll see if we can find you some G42 grads to send your way… !
Thanks Dave! We are actually looking for a core group of people to move to our area, plant roots (get jobs & place to live), and help us lead this.
We have a lot of resources to help people get on their feet initially.
We feel moving forward without a core established team that share the vision would be building a church on a weak foundation. The core team is crucial.
Great post. It takes courage to step into the unknown. But it’s something every successful person does. This year I hope to step even more into my calling and purpose.
