The 42nd Generation (part 2)

In my last post, I talked about the 42nd Generation: a generation who acknowledges their identity and accepts their inheritance as children of God.

But then what? Our goal at G42 is to inspire and challenge members of the 42nd Generation–no matter where they are in life, status, age, class, or the world–to live like they are God’s representative on Earth.

To walk out their inheritance.

To act with confidence, excellence, and integrity.

To realize that doing what they love to do brings a smile to God’s face.

The 42nd Generation accepts their inheritance and then spends it on something that improves the world around them.

Say Amen & Make A Plan

I’ve written before about the Spirit of Nehemiah, about finding and sending modern-day Nehemiah’s that are so fed up with a problems of this world that they are willing to make a drastic change and take a huge risk.

Serving, Sending, Connecting

One of my roles at our non-profit is to send and connect our alumni around the world. This means connecting the skills, giftings, and passions of our interns with needs, ministries, and businesses that could use their help. And subsequently making sure they are supported, coached, and mentored as they carry out their calling.

My goal is to create an inter-related network tied together by common beliefs. This network is fluid, mutually beneficial, effective, and has a heart to serve the lost, poor, and abandoned. We’re not about titles, or about slapping the G42 brand on everything, but we are all about the Message: bringing the Kingdom of God to Earth.

The Leadership Academy

We’ve created a training center in Mijas, Spain on the Costa del Sol. Here, interns spend six months of intensive training: realizing their identity, honing their giftings, communicating their visions, and building their plans.

They do this with one-on-one coaching and discipling from experienced leaders and teachers.

In a style that includes classroom teaching, sharing around a kitchen table, and living in community with family and friends.

(Did I mention the Mediterranean view, the beaches, the mountains, and the beautiful Spanish culture?)

We created the leadership academy to be the springboard for the 42nd Generation… and to act as a base of operations for our partners, contacts, and alumni going to and from the field.
