for Ben

As you can probably figure, I’m missing my family terribly.  Being away from my 22-day old son is probably the worst.  I was so blessed to have a week with him, and I can’t wait to get back and reintroduce him to “Daddy”.  The first words I spoke to him were blessings and prophesy… Rebecca was so nice to let me hold him a lot in the first few days (I’m sure she probably didn’t mind too much :^)  I whispered into his ear promises that only a Dad can bestow on a son; promises of life to the fullest–supernatural power in Christ’s name–and a long, healthy life, among others.   It was good for me to have this time with him, as I passed down as much of the Spirit that is in me to his little ears, heart, and mind.

Benjamin: Son of My Right Hand.  He is my right hand, he is my destiny, he is God’s fulfillment of promises in my life.  We’ve got a lot of living yet to do, and I’ve got a lot of parenting left to do, but I got my start early.   I plan on giving him a life full of love and power.

Of course, I prayed for him before he was born and pray for him still daily, I pray for the girls and Rebecca too.  I hope this reminds you to pray for your children, every day, whether they are born or even conceived.  Take a quick second after you finish this to pray for them by name.  I will too.
