7 Most Popular Posts of 2012

It’s the time of year we begin looking back at what we’ve accomplished over the past 12 months while looking forward in anticipation…

For me, this year has been amazing and stretched me like never before. My family has grown together and the kids are growing and learning so quickly. (Bec and I aren’t growing so quickly–we’re still trying to hang on to our 20’s–at least mentally!)

So I want to leave you this year with my “Most Popular” List and also mention some posts that I think you might like but may have missed the first time around.
Popular Posts of 2012

So here it is:

Seven Most Popular Posts:

#1: Boys Need An Initiation.

It’s true. And this fact keeps people coming to this blog and keeps people reading… my heart rings with this fact and I’m doing my best to provide an atmosphere of growth and love for my son and other men around me.

#2: Book Review: Beautiful Outlaw by John Eldredge

What a great book. Eldredge opens our eyes to Jesus as the saintly scoundrel that He really was.

#3: You Are Not That Important.

Part 2 of my series on initiation… that eventually turned into an eBook called “INITIATE: A Warrior’s Guide to Becoming a Man.” If you don’t have a copy, I’ll send you a free copy if you subscribe.

#4: Seven Rules for Dating My Daughters

I have two daughters, and I promise you I will protect them forever. First of all, I’ll protect them from all of those jerks with droopy pants and bad manners…

#5: We All Need An Adventure

This year I founded Global Adventure and I believe it fills a call in our hearts: a call to adventure, risk and faith. Join us.

#6: Maybe You’re Not A Leader

In a leadership blog, this post rang a bell–so many of us strive for this mythical “leadership” that maybe we weren’t created for. (and that’s okay)…

#7: Burn The Boats

Me? Talk about commitment? Absolutely.

Honorable Mentions

I think you’ll love the following posts… most of them came later in the year so there wasn’t as much time to get popular.

My Body Armor

A new thought on the Holy Spirit… taken from my time in Iraq.

8 Most Inspiring Words in the Bible

The Bible continues to inspire me. Read this passage again.

What The World Needs

This year we also started G42Africa – a ministry to train and develop leaders in Uganda. It inspired me to think about why we are trying to inspire the leaders of tomorrow.
