Ticked Off

I find myself really ticked off these days.

Naffed off. Frustrated. Wanting to hit someone. Simply …ticked off.

There are things that I see in the world around me that just press my buttons.

Maybe this is a follow up to my last post, A Message of Hope… maybe it’s a rebuttal. But the recent school shootings in Connecticut are just another example of things that make me want to shout and hit someone. If you haven’t heard about it, consider yourself lucky to not hear another story of human nature gone amok. If you have, then you don’t need me to link to it to read it again.

Face Punch

It ticks me off that schools still don’t have the security they need. (It also ticks me off that schools need security AT ALL)

It ticks me off that people spend millions on frivolous nonsense but yet worthy causes and charities are forced to scrape and beg for money.

It ticks me off that a generation of young people are going through life with no purpose.

It ticks me off that a generation of young people are abused and have no idea of their identity and authority.

Righteous Anger?

Is okay to be so angry? I know I shouldn’t go around punching people, but should I offer hugs instead? I might have a lot of work to do in this area, but my mission is to turn frustration and anger into action.

There might not be a way I can help with security and safety in schools… but there is something I can do to tell young adults of their identity and purpose in life… and provide outlets for them to experience life and grow into mature adults.

But sometimes I still want to hit some people…

Is that bad?
